About bCA Galleries:

What is bCA Galleries?

bCA Galleries is a contemporary art company and gallery based in Mumbai, India. Our focus is on emerging Indian contemporary art. Since our inception in 2005, we promote young and talented Indian artists globally. At the same time, we introduce non-Indian artists in India.

What artists does bCA Galleries promote?

bCA Galleries promotes the works of emerging Indian artists, we have over 200 such artists associated with us. We also promote traditional Indian art like Warli, Madhubani, Tanjore and Miniature paintings. If a gallery wishes to host an exhibition of any Indian artists not associated with us, we can source their works as well.

How can a gallery collaborate with bCA Galleries?

A gallery may collaborate with bCA Galleries in the following ways:

  • An online association through an exchange of advertisements or links.
  • Hosting an exhibition of artists associated with bCA Galleries.
  • Propose an exhibition of non-Indian artists associated with them in India.
  • Contract us for writing forewords to catalogues or write and design promotional material.

Online Associations:

bCA Galleries is open to hosting the links of other galleries or art related sites on its website, which in turn are agreeable to putting our backlink on their website. This exchange of links will greatly enhance the traffic to both websites. Currently, we have about 10,000 visitors every month to www.bcagalleries.com. This ‘online association’ could also extend to an exchange of advertisements between the two websites.

Will bCA Galleries issue certificates of authenticity?

bCA Galleries will issue a Certificate of Authenticity for every artwork of an associated artist. This would be signed by the artist and endorsed by bCA Galleries.

Please note: As regards artworks sourced from sources other than the artist directly (as in the case of Indian Masters) while bCA Galleries would ensure that a certificate of authenticity is issued we will not be in a position to endorse the same.

What happens if an artwork is lost or damaged in the course of the exhibition?

The partner gallery is completely responsible for the artworks as long as they are in their possession or while they are in transit to bCA Galleries in India (in case of unsold works). Should any mishap occur; the partner gallery would be required to reimburse bCA Galleries the ‘transfer price.’

Who owns the copyright to the artworks?

All rights regarding the work will remain with the artist.  The partner gallery will be given permission by the artist to reproduce images of the works for promotional material and publicity only for that particular exhibition. International copyright laws are applicable for all artworks.
